In 2019, our company vision came to fruition. We acquired the land in Underhill and built a sprawling 44,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility. This futuristic hub is where the majority of our sauces, spice blends, and marinades are produced. We offer these in an array of packaging options, from pots to sachets, tubs to buckets, piping bags, dip pots, and pouches.

General Operative

Spice O'Life, a leading food production company based in Dunmanway, West Cork, is seeking enthusiastic General Operatives to join our growing team.

You will:

  • Contribute to the production and packing of seasonings, spices and sauce products, following daily production plans and instructions from management.

  • Be part of a dynamic team across various stages of the production process, including Batching & Prepping, Blending, Manufacturing, Machine Operations, and Packing.

  • Maintain the highest product quality and hygiene standards, essential for our business success.

Previous experience is advantageous but not essential. Assistance with sourcing accommodation may be provided if required.

Quality Controller

Spice O'Life, a leading food production company based in Dunmanway, West Cork, is seeking a dedicated Quality Controller. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and quality of our products and quality management systems.

You will:

  • Manage Food Safety, integrity, and legality, including the maintenance of QMS, HACCP, and production records.

  • Maintain calibration registers for plant and laboratory equipment.

  • Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding quality standards, documentation, and queries.

  • Draft final product specifications.

  • Monitor quality standards, implement corrective actions, and conduct regular document reviews.

  • Escalate procedural issues and report quality standards to the Quality Manager.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills for liaising with stakeholders.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
